Jason Terry Has Advice For NBA Players

November 24, 2010

As noted yesterday, the NBA lockout will most likely happen. Players are preparing for the financial hardships and Jason Terry has some simple advice.

From Dallas Morning News:

Jason Terry has taken to heart the instructions that NBA Players Association president Billy Hunter has passed along to his constituents.

“Save your money,” Terry said after Tuesday’s shootaround at American Airlines Center. “It’s not good.”

On Monday, Hunter indicated he believes there’s a 99 percent chance of a lockout taking place next summer because negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement are stalled.

“It’s not good for basketball; it’s not good for the fans,” said Terry, the team’s associate player rep behind Brian Cardinal. “We definitely have to come to an agreement.”

The 1998-99 season was shortened to 50 games as a result of the most recent NBA lockout.
