Michael Jordan Ad Dissing Lebron Fake

December 3, 2010

A week ago, a video came to my attention of a parody version of LeBron’s Rise commercial starring Michael Jordan. Now, Jordan dismisses this rumor and says it is fake. Whats intriguing is that Jordan never said he didn’t agree or disagree what was said in it.

From Associated Press:

CLEVELAND — Michael Jordan says he had nothing to do with a viral video that mocks LeBron James.

The video looks so much like a real commercial that Jordan felt compelled to say he wasn’t part of it.

“I had absolutely nothing to do with it, Nike had absolutely nothing to do with it,” Jordan said.

The NBA great told the Associated Press on Thursday that he didn’t even know about the video until one of his kids sent it to him.

The video making the rounds pokes fun at a Nike ad in which James asks, “What should I do?” The fake video ends with a voiceover of Jordan saying, “Maybe you’re just making excuses.”

Jordan spoke to the AP on the day that James was set to make his return to Cleveland as a member of the Miami Heat.
