Time Travel: Kobe Scores 42 on Christmas Day Against Heat

December 24, 2010

First off, yes the Lakers lost this game. It was Shaq’s first return to LA since the trade that sent him to Miami. The Heat would later go 59-23 and lose in seven games to the Detroit Pistons. The very next year, Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O’Neal would lead the Heat onto beat the Dallas Mavericks in six games for the NBA Championship. First in Miami history. The Lakers would go 34-48 and not make the playoffs in this rebuilding year. Finally, in 2008, the Lakers would rebuild in the future with trades and free agent acquisitions and win two NBA championships in the post Shaq era. Now, Christmas Day is set for the biggest match of the year. Ready LeBron?
